FEEDING WEANING PUPS
Puppies start to nibble on solid foods at 3 - 4 weeks of age. Keep moistened Purina Puppy Chow Tender & Crunchy (three parts kibble to one part water) available to puppies at all times until fully weaned (6 - 8 weeks of age).
FEEDING GROWING PUPS
After weaning, Purina Puppy Chow Tender & Crunchy can be fed moistened or dry at the same time every day - very young puppies three times a day, older puppies twice a day. Use the feeding guidelines shown here, but remember individual needs can vary. Feed to maintain ideal body condition as shown. Slight appetite changes and occasional digestive upsets are normal in puppies. If upsets become severe or linger longer than a day or two, contact your veterinarian.
FEEDING FOR REPRODUCTION
Purina Puppy Chow Tender & Crunchy provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female's good body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation.
SWITCHING TO PURINA PUPPY CHOW TENDER & CRUNCHY
When switching to Purina Puppy Chow Tender & Crunchy from another food, please allow 7 -10 days for the transition. Gradually add more Purina Puppy Chow Tender & Crunchy and less of the previous food to your pet's dish each day until the changeover is complete. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.
Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily.
For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.

We breed Siberian Huskies for a hobby--for 20 years now. One of the times we always hated was babies having their jaws stuck because puppy chow was caught in the gaps between incoming teeth. Puppies usually begin chow to supplement mom's feedings when she places her babies on a feeding schedule. The chow is out 24x7 with the water. Babies dig at their mouths whenever a piece of chow is stuck. With the production of Tender and Crunchy, puppies can spit out the hard pieces until the teeth are ready. It's amazing that such young lives can figure out the difference. When all litter members have gapless teeth, we switch to regular puppy chow to slow down the chewing time. We are really grateful for the soft chow feature, and our vet loves the shiny coats on our Purina pets!
My Boxador is a very picky eater. We tried many different name brands and nothing worked. AS soon as we brough home Purina Puppy chow, it was like we couldn't keep the food in the bowl. He loves it and we don't have to worry if he's eating enough! Thanks Purina!!!!
My Tibetan Mastiff puppy is a really finicky eater, I have tried other foods but he is still underweight. I bought one bag of Healthy Morsels and hoped for the best and he ate 4 cups of it in front of my eyes! I'm very pleased he likes it! I now hope he can put on some weight!!
