Animal feeding tests using AAFCO procedures substantiate that Purina Puppy Chow provides complete and balanced nutrition for all life stages of dogs.
Amounts are recommended for an average puppy with normal activity. Remember food intake requirements
vary depending on age, activity and environment, and should be adjusted accordingly.
FEEDING WEANING PUPS
Puppies start to nibble on solid foods at 3 - 4 weeks of age. Keep moistened Purina Puppy Chow (three parts kibble to one part water) available to puppies at all times until fully weaned (6 - 8 weeks of age).
FEEDING GROWING PUPS
After weaning, Purina Puppy Chow can be fed moistened or dry at the same time every day - very young puppies three times a day, older puppies twice a day. Use the feeding guidelines shown here, but remember individual needs can vary. Feed to maintain ideal body condition as shown. Slight appetite changes and occasional digestive upsets are normal in puppies. If upsets become severe or linger longer than a day or two, contact your veterinarian.
FEEDING FOR REPRODUCTION
Purina Puppy Chow provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female’s good body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation.
SWITCHING TO PURINA PUPPY CHOW
When switching to Purina Puppy Chow from another food, please allow 7 - 10 days for the transition. Gradually add more Purina Puppy Chow and less of the previous food to your pet's dish each day until the changeover is complete. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.
Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.

I have had 2 dogs and each one has always enjoyed Purina brand puppy chow and dog chow. A good price for a great brand! I would recommend it to anyone who only wants the best for their fur-babies.
I've been raising Beagles for over 17 years and raised them all on Purina Puppy Chow . They love the taste and even try to take Mommy's food before its time! Very happy with this product and the entire Purina line.
I am so pleased with the way Bruno is eating. He is bright and alert, and ready to play. He loves his food.
I started my boy's on Iams. Thought it was better feed. They would not eat and dropped weight big time. My buddy told me to get a bag of puppy chow. Said he only feeds this to his pups and then to dog chow. I was hesitant honestly. But I bought it. The pups devoured it. I also feed a can of Pro plan canned food because of them being under weight. But they love both. I love that the puppy chow pieces are so small. I told my vet I switched. He told me I made a good choice, after all high dollar food isn't any good if they will not eat it. Thank you Purina. Customer for life
I started buying this for the rescue puppies I have and one day I ran out of Dog Chow; so I gave my older dogs the Puppy Chow and now that's all they want to eat.
I asked our doushound puppy how he like his Puppy Chow. He stopped eating just long enough to say "Bow wow wow, woof woof woof, arf arf arf." He then when back to his food.
I have a pitbull bulldog mix female and I wasn't able to find the big puppy bred food. After a couple of dog foods, she really liked this one. Its great!
